Sequences of Vowels

Rule #2

No more than two vowels can appear in a row.

Each of the three vowels can be doubled:

ii uu aa

Every combination of two different vowels can appear:

iu ia ui ua ai au

Note that some of these sequences of two vowels are already words:

  • Ai!
  • Aa.

Distinguishing between a single vowel and a group of two vowels is essential in order to differentiate between words.

Example

  •  inurqituq ≠ inurqiituq.
