Number sense – practice adding numbers up to 10
- Using one hand (4 fingers and thumb)
Just like the game they are already familiar with, two players face each other and pound their fists, but say: ‘’Rock, Paper, Math’’.
Each player shows one hand with fingers showing a number 0 – 5.
Both players try to shout out first the sum of the two numbers.
Extra challenges:
- Subtract or multiply instead of add.
- Add numbers up to 20 using both hands.
- Play with three students instead of two.
